Imphal, May 27:
Flatly rejecting the allegation that Md Tayeb Ali s/o Imam Ali rescued by security forces from the custody of KCP (MC) yesterday was being kept hostage for ransom at Waikhurok hills, the outfit accused Md Tayeb Ali of working as an informer of the army.
A statement issued by propaganda, communication and technical officer of KCP (MC) Tamnganba Meetei asserted that Tayeb Ali after retiring from IRB got himself acquainted with security personnel and eventually became an informer.
Because of the information provided by Tayeb Ali, two cadres of the KCP (MC) fell victim to security forces.
In addition, two pistols and Rs 4 lakhs were lost.
For the damage done to the party by his activity, the outfit asked Tayeb Ali to pay back Rs 20 lakhs to the party.
Besides being an informer of security forces, Tayeb Ali was also a heroin (no 4) dealer, it asserted while claiming that video clippings of Tayeb Ali's illegal activities are with the party.
Weighing by the gravity of his fault, Tayeb Ali deserved capital punishment but he was spared for the sake of his family members and children, Tamnganba said.
Tayeb Ali was pulled up much later when he failed to pay back the amount as demanded by the party.
Contending that KCP (MC) did not indulge in abduction for ransom, the outfit stated that Tayeb Ali, his wife and children will be held equally guilty for they joined hands with security forces and acted against the party even as the two sides were negotiating the matter.
All of them would be awarded capital punishment in case they fail to surrender to the party at the earliest.
Had the party have any intention to kill Tayeb Ali, he could have been shot dead yesterday itself, Tamnganba said while disclosing that it has taken serious note of the volte face made by Tayeb Ali in front of media by making false statements in total contrast to the statements he made to the party.
On the recent bomb attack in RIMS, Tamnganba maintained that KCP (MC) was not involved in the attack in any manner.
Terming it an act of terrorist, he condemned the bomb attack in the strongest term.
The party has no relation whatsoever with alleged selfstyled deputy CMC Lallumba, it clarified while also refuting any connection between the party and Sanjenbam Indira and her younger sister Pratima, pulled up by security forces after yesterday's incident at Waikhurok hills.
