United Meetei and Pangal Organisations (UMAPO) has urged Agriculture Minister Abdul Nasir to produce in public those responsible for siphoning off funds granted to Lilong Haoreibi College.
In a statement, UMAPO said that Lilong Haoreibi College is the only college for the minority Muslim community and the State Government has been neglecting it for years.
There has been repeated appeals to Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh to look into the matter but till date, he has turned a blind eye to the issues, it said.
It also said that the college teachers are not attending college regularly and students are adversely affected.
UGC granted Rs 200 lakhs for the year 2014, 2015, 2016-2017 for infrastructure and several lakhs have been sanctioned for vocational purpose.
It further alleged that Mid Day Meal Scheme has vanished into mid-air, not reaching the respective schools.
UMAPO President DP Samir Khan threatened to expose the wrongdoers and send a video to Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani.
