State lad bags Pride of India '15 Award

Imphal, November 22 2015:
International Youth Committe (IYC) in a statement today said that the prestigious "Pride of India 2015" International Award has been conferred on Kanarjit Kangujam (25) s/o K Ibotombi Singh of Bashikhong Wangkhei Loumanbi Mapal, Imphal East in recognition of his outstanding service to empowerment of youths of the world by Radha Krishnan, Union Minister of State for Education, Govt of Sri Lanka during the "Indo-Sri Lanka Friendship International Conference" held on November 17 at Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The award consists of a gold medal, a plaque, a shawl and a certificate.
Currently, he is working as an advisory board member of Youth School of Social Entrepreneurs(YSSE), Dhaka, Bangladesh, Honorary Member of World Peace Mission & Human Rights Academy, Ukraine, Director (in-charge) of United Nations Resource Centre(UNRC), Imphal office, Director of UNESCO Club Manipur, President of International Youth Committee(IYC), Founder and Secretary General, Club25 International Manipur, State Coordinator, Youth Disaster Response Team, Manipur.
He has also won a number of awards and recognitions including Dr BR Ambedkar National Award 2014, "Global Youth Award 2014", "Indo-Nepal Friendship International Award 2013", etc according to IYC.
