CISF woman constable dies inside CM's bungalow

A lady constable of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) deployed to guard the Chief Minister's Bungalow succumbed to a 'mysterious' bullet wound today at JNIMS hospital.
Sources said that a CISF constable, Priti D Bole (22) d/o Dilip Rao D Bole was found lying in a pool of blood after receiving bullet injury this morning around 10.30 in a cabin where lady visitors are scanned inside the CM's Bungalow.
Priti hailed from Kailash Nagar, in Maharash-tra's Gopal Nagar district.
She was rushed immediately to State run JNIMS hospital at Porompat, where she later succumbed to her injury.
A bullet on the abdomen reportedly pierced through her back.
Police recovered a Glock Pistol and a spent cartridge beside her body.
The sources said the pistol found alongside her was a service pistol issued to her.
Chief Minister O Ibobi was not at his Bungalow when the incident took place.
Besides, it was a time when there were few visitors.
Top police officials including DGP MK Das, Additional DGs, LM Khaute and P Doungel rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
Police however did not divulge any detail�whether it was a suicide or a homicide.
Apart from registering a case with Imphal PS, a post mortem examination on the dead body was conducted at RIMS.
CISF personnel are deployed to guard the CM's Bungalow since the last few years as intensified security measure in the wake of series of bomb attacks.
The CM's Bungalow is also put under CCTVs' scanner.
The spot where Priti lay in a pool of blood was out of CCTV coverage area.
Meanwhile, a statement issued by the SP of Imphal West said that the district police received an information today around 10.15am that a CISF lady constable No 120801042 Priti D Bole presently posted at CM Bungalow was evacuated to JNIMS, Porompat with gunshot injury on her abdomen.She succumbed to her injury on arrival at the hospital.
It said that an UD case has been registered at Imphal PS while adding that investigation of the case is on.
