New Delhi, November 20 2013:
The collective leadership of NSCN ( IM) Isak Chishi Swu and Thuingaleng Muivah arrived in the National Capital yesterday to resume talks with the GoI.
The NSCN leaders will meet RS Pandey, the interlocutor for the Peace Talks between the NSCN( IM) and the GoI tomorrow.
Not disclosing any development, Pandey told The Sangai Express that there is no agreement or negotiation that will be choked out in the meet.
While their meeting with other Central leaders are yet to be confirmed, the two leaders will be camping in Delhi for a while.
Before leaving, Swu and Muivah told the local media in Nagaland that GoI had invited them to resume the on-going talks.
Admitting that this happens after a long gap and that Peace process has not made any major breakthrough, the NSCN (IM) Leaders accused the GoI of playing a delaying tactics.
The problem the leaders stated lies with the Government of India.
On the anticipation of any positive outcome in the ensuing peace talks, Swu told the media at Dimapur before leaving for New Delhi, "we cannot say anything" .
Joining Swu, NSCN (IM) general secretary Th Muivah has "blamed" the Government of India for "failing" to solve the protracted Indo-Naga political problem.
Muivah said that the problem lies with the government of India and not with the NSCN (IM) .
"We are waiting for the Government's response and we are ready from our side.
We want a solution as soon as possible," Muivah told media persons at Dimapur.
He also alleged that many opportunities were lost due to delay in the talks and accused the Centre of applying 'delay tactics' .
NSCN (IM) entered into truce with the Government of India in 1997 and since then more than 80 rounds of talks were held between the Centre and the NSCN led by Isak Swu and Th Muivah without concrete outcome in the last 16 years of truce.
