Imphal, October 12, 2013:
The Bharatiya Janata Party NEI Sampark Cell has expressed resentment against the repeated offence meted out by Visa officials of People's Republic of China to dignitaries and citizens from Indian State of Arunachal Pradesh.
A statement issued by the National Convenor of BJP, NEISC, Sunil Deodhar said the latest addition to the list of such offense was issuing stapled visas to two archers Maselo Mihu and Sorang Yumi who were the only ones in the 30-member contingent to have been issued stapled visas for a sporting event starting at Wuxi that began today.
"This repeated proxy attack on Indian sovereignty through diplomatic means by Government of China is an attempt to defame and devour Arunachal Pradesh which our Government shouldn't tolerate and respond in adequate force by curbing Chinese Business Visa issued for India which is misused by Chinese firms like Hauwei who have been banned/curbed from doing IT network infra business in US and EU due to alleged spy/espionage issues, the BJP statement said.
"We must also consider the serious loss faced by Indian manufacturers and environment by the cheap Chinese electronic imports which often pollute the environment, it stated while adding, unless India adopts a strict Visa and Import policy the Government of China won't listen to the issues as they do domestically by ignoring the human rights of their own citizens.
"China gives respect to those who command it and not to deserving, hence India too should stand up and command its self-respect, the BJP demanded.
