Updated results of the 15th Lok Sabha elections will be made available through internet as the counting progresses.
The Election Commission of India has initiated works to computerise all the counting process so that results of the counting can be assessed through internet instantaneously.
Counting of votes for the 15th Lok Sabha elections is scheduled to commence from May 16 .
Even though there would be no deviation from the counting process followed earlier, results of every round of counting will be uploaded to internet on the website of the Election Commission of India or CEOs of the respective States.
In connection with the initiative to computerise the election results, a mock "run and load" test will be conducted on May 3 .
Meanwhile, office of the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has reportedly communicated to to the Election Commission to send four observers for counting of votes slated to be done in 12 places across the State.
On the other hand, today's (April 29) scheduled meeting between the CEO Sambhu Singh and Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla in connection with the poll rigging complaints of MPP and CPI has been cancelled because of the third phase of Parliamentary elections which go to the polls tomorrow.
However, the CEO will be meeting the Chief Election Commissioner and two other Election Commissioners at 11 am tomorrow.
On the other hand, the Thoubal Deputy Commissioner has furnished a second report in response to the Election Commission's directive for the same on the complaint of 100 percent polling at 35/32-Athokpam (C) polling station which falls under Khangabok Assembly constituency in Thoubal district.
