Commemorating the memory of Johan Gutenberg, who has been decorated with the title of Father of Printing, All Manipur Printing Technologists' Association (AMPTA) observed World Printers' Day by organising a function at the Uripok Bachaspati Leikai branch office of CCP today.
The event attended by retired Deputy Director of Government Press Kh Lalmohon and AMPTA advisor H Tenden as chief guest and president respectively also coincided with the 23rd anniversary of AMPTA.
Speaking at the occasion, Lalmohon pointed out that printing is indispensably connected to education.
So in order to bring out quality education in Manipur, everyone should understand the importance of quality printing.
Association president Thokchom Sunil Singh, who spoke at the occasion expressed desire for expanding the scope of organising the observance of the World Printers' Day in the coming years.
