Punshungbam Samarendra, waiter of Roji Restaurant burnt down by people after the proscribed RPF had banned it for encouraging immoral activities in the restaurant and Khoisnam Sanajaoba who provided a delegate card of AMSU's general conference to the waiter had surrendered to the student body.
Both Samarendra and Sanajaoba belong to the same locality of Phaknung Sangomshang.
With the help of the AMSU's delegate card, Samarendra posed as a volunteer of AMSU to exact fines from those individuals who indulged in immoral activities in Roji Restaurant located at Sawombung.
Samarendra is also a relative of the restaurant owner, Naobicha.
Sanajaoba clarified that after Samarandra had taken the AMSU delegate card, he also went to the restaurant on March 21 but he was never involved in exacting money.
Nevertheless, he confessed his fault for giving the card to Samarendra without thinking of possible misuse.
Speaking to reporters, AMSU vice-president Jamesbond Mangang cautioned against any one misusing the name of AMSU.
He also appealed to the people not to undertake such defamatory activities.
