Block Health Mela concludes

Bpr/Kpi/Thb, April 22 2022: District Health Society, Bishnupur on Friday organised the third Block Health Mela for Bishnupur district at Community Health Centre, Moirang.

The health mela was conducted for Moirang Block which covered 3 Assembly Constituencies- Kumbi, Thanga and Moirang.

Thanga AC MLA, Tongbram Robindro; Moirang AC MLA, Thongam Shanti and AC to DC Bishnupur, Ejaj Hassan attended the inaugural session of the Block Health Mela as presidium members.

CMO Bishnupur, Officials concerned and staff of medical department, ASHAs and Anganwadi workers also attended the function.

KANGPOKPI
Kangpokpi Block Health Society also organised a Block Health Mela at Multipurpose Mandap Hall, Kangpokpi town.

It was attended by Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, DC Kangpokpi; James Doujapao Haokip, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi; and Angam Leivon, chairman, Kangpokpi Town Committee as presidium members.

About 24 stalls were opened at the health mela.

Medical care was provided to a total of 492 patients at the Health Mela.

THOUBAL
District Administration Thoubal and District Health Society, Thoubal also organised the third Block Health Mela for Thoubal district today at Ibudhou Tangjeng Ningthou Laikol Kiyam Siphai under Thoubal Block. It was attended by Thoubal Municipal Council, chairperson Th Syamo; CMO Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul Singh; Medical Superintendent, Dr Th Memcha and Th Suranjoy Singh, DPO, ICDS as presidium members.

About 25 stalls including NYK, Food & Safety and ICDS were opened at the mela.

Moreover, District Food Safety Officer Thoubal also deployed mobile Food Testing Vans, set up stalls for generating awareness on the "Eat Right Movement" in India.
