Victims hail Senapati cops

The two victims who were abducted by some unidentified persons along with a jeep but rescued by Senapati police have conveyed gratitude to the Senapati SP and his team.
Speaking to media persons this afternoon, T Somorjit and Okram Rohan of Wangjing said that they were abducted by some unknown persons in the night of September 5 .
The duo came together with Th Open of Thoubal Kiyam and W Somorendro from near Imphal airport who were travelling in an i10 car.
The abductors who were seated in another Bolero jeep (NL-07C/1689) first tried to rob the i10 car.
They suddenly changed their mind and released the car.
But they took two Somorjit and Rohan hostage near Taphou iron factory.
Open and Somorendro who were left free sped away in their car and filed a report to Kangpokpi PS OC Letkhohao Vaiphei.
The OC immediately relayed the information tot eh Senapati SP.
At the instruction of the SP, Senapati PS OC Hepuni Mao intercepted the abductors together with the victims but the abductors somehow managed to make their escape good leaving behind the Bolero jeep.
Later, Somorjit and Rohan were escorted by Senapati Police up to Motbung, said the victims.
They also conveyed gratitude to Senapati SP Pushpanjali and her subordinate officers for their prompt action and also for successfully rescuing them.
