Govt to take action after 3 days : Parijat

If the economic blockade along the National Highways over Sadar hills district demand is not lifted within the next three days, the State Government would be taking up necessary action, Agriculture Minister Ph Parijat has stated.
Speaking at the 155th birth anniversary observance of Jananeta Hijam Irabot at Andro Pureilomba Shanglen today said imposition of economic blockade along the National Highways and causing undue suffering to the people over the Sadar hills district demand could never be justified.
Instead of economic blockade, some other form of agitations could be adopted.
So, the Government would wait and see for three days and if the blockade is not lifted then necessary action would be taken up, Minister Parijat announced.
On the significance of organising the birth anniversary of Jananeta Hijam Irabot at Andro, the Minister pointed out that it was here Irabot took shelter and worked closely with the people.
Organised under the aegis of Irabot Celebration Committee, Andro Local Council, a large number of people turned up to offer floral tributes to Jananeta Hijam Irabot.
Among those who spoke at the occasion, executive member of the Celebration Committee Th Yaiskul described Irabot has a selfless leader who dedicated his life for the upliftment and unity of the marginalised section of the society.
Retired Medical Officer Dr Y Mani was also present at the occasion.
