Assam Rifles organises medical camps

Imphal, September 19 2011:
Troops of 27 AR of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) organized a Medical Camp on September 19 at Kakching Public School.
About 198 students and villagers from Kakching and surrounding areas were examined during the camp.
Doctor and paramedical staff of 27 AR provided check up and treatment for various diseases and medical ailments.
A press release issued by IG AR (S) stated that the principle of the school and locals expressed their gratitude for organizing such venture and praised benevolent act of AR and termed it as a ray of hope for the society especially for young generation.
Meanwhile, a team of medical officers and paramedical staff of 37 AR of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) conducted a medical camp at Aibol Joupi on September 18.More than 200 patients from Aibol Joupi Molanghat, Tupiching, Joumol and nearby villages were treated and performed medical screening of about 100 students of Primary School of New Molanghat & Aibol Joupi village.
Medical officer also delivered a lecture on personal and oral hygiene to school students and teaching staff, the press release stated.
Similarly, the unit also organized medical camp at Molanghat vllage today.
More than 115 patients from Molanghat and adjoining areas were benefited from the camp.
In another occasion, a team of medical officers and paramedical staff of 17 AR of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) organised a medical camp at Ringui & Tungou villages on September 15.More than 200 villagers from Ringui&Tungou villages were diagnosed and provided medicines.
An interactive session was also organised with the villagers and they were educated about various diseases including AIDS, malaria, personal hygiene and general cleanliness and the precautionary measures to overcome such disease in future, the press release added.
