Imphal, January 12:
Offering its last respect to the departed soul of Khundongbam Sansenba alias Dhranin, who was killed in a shoot out with 33 Assam Rifles personnel at Khoubuk village under Sugnu police station on January 10, the proscribed UNLF today said that Sansenba fought till the last bullet despite being greatly outnumbered.
Paying tributes to the departed soul, the outfit said that Sansenba belonged to the 2001 batch of MPA and added that during this short period, he displayed exemplary courage and guts.
Sansenba had also taken part in many battles with the Indian security force and at one time received six bullet injuries but that did not deter him and he managed to fight back and repulse the Indian security force, said the statement.
The outfit further said extreme sacrifice of Sansenba will only act as morale booster to the MPA cadres.
