Taking cognizance of the resignation of Th Chaoba as the president of State unit BJP, the proscribed KYKL has today stated that all BJP candidates may contest the upcoming Municipal and Nagar Panchayat elections.
However the outfit, in a statement, said that if the BJP does not sever all ties with Th Chaoba within one month of the completion of the election, then all BJP candidates should resign from the party or else they will be given stern punishment.
The election to the local bodies is scheduled to be held on January 17.The outfit said that making Th Chaoba step down as the president of the party is a positive response from the BJP leadership and added that though late this is a new development which will prove positive for the people.
The ban on the State BJP will however remain as long as Th Chaoba is with the party, said the outfit and urged the leaders of the State BJP to ponder over their fate and accordingly take up action which will be beneficial to them.
