CPI foundation day 'Manipur Legislative Assembly is an outcome of public movements'

Imphal, August 23 2020:
The 73rd foundation day of the Communist Party of India (CPI), Manipur State Council was celebrated in over 20 places of the State, particularly in Imphal West, Imphal East, Kakching, Thoubal and Bishnupur districts, today.
CPI leader Dr M Nara, comrades L Sotinkumar, A Lala, N Singhajity, M Joykumar, Kh Surchand, RK Amusana, Sarojini, Th Sakhi Devi and other party leaders took part in the observance held at different localities, said a statement of CPI, Manipur State Council.

At a function held at Imphal, CPI comrades paid floral tributes at the statue of Hijam Irawat installed opposite to Manipur Legislative Assembly.
L Sotinkumar, State secretary, CPI Manipur State Council and Dr M Nara Singh, CPI National executive member took part in the function held at Thoubal.
At the event, Dr M Nara maintained that the history of CPI is close knit to the history of the working-class people, and assured that the party will continue to work for the betterment of the society.
L Sotinkumar stated that the Manipur State Assembly is an outcome of several public movements that took place during Hijam Irawat time.
