28 AR applies balm to villagers

Imphal, January 23, 2011:
Continuing with its philantrophic works and reaching out to the general public, personnel of 28 Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) conducted a medical cum dental camp at Thaiyong village, Andro today.
The medical camp was inaugurated by the Commandant of 28 Assam Rifles.
Speaking at the occasion, the CO highlighted the importance of medical care and health education in the present scenario.
He also exhorted the public to contribute their mite towards Nation building and progress and development.
A medical team comprising of gynaecologists, ophthalmologists, paediatrician and dentist treated the villagers who turned up for the medical camp.
Altogether 98 males, 162 females and 136 children, 98 dental patients were treated during the medical camp.
Altogether over 600 villagers were treated in today's medical camp.
The vilagers have expressed their deep gratefulness to the CO of 28 Assam Rifles and Post Commander of AR, Andro Post.
Dr Devakanta a surgeon from RIMS, Dr Zedi, Paeditrician from RIMS and Dr Sanatomba, Gynaecologist from JNIMS and Dr Jogendra Sharma, opthalmologist from JNIMS.
