Imphal, February 20 2015 :
The Information Centre for Hill Areas, Manipur (ICHAM) has extended monetary assistance to the family of the person who was killed in a bomb blast on the road connecting Nambasi Khullen and Khuntak in Ukhrul district on February 5 as well as to the injured victim.
ICHAM showed their solidarity to the victim families by giving Rs 5000 each to Sophia w/o Adison Jajo who was killed in the IED blast and injured Hillary Keishing who is currently undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital.
Speaking to media persons at Lanthung Ching, Langol today, ICHAM president N Rajendro decried that the State Government has so far done nothing for the victims of Nambasi Khullen bomb blasts even though the Government promptly declared ex-gratia for people killed or injured in other cases of bomb blasts.
While condemning all incidents of bomb blasts in civilian areas, Rajendro noted that Chief Minister O Ibobi as well as Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam visited all bomb blasts spots and injured victims when non-local people was/were killed/injured in bomb blast.

Moreover, the State Government was very quick in announcing ex-gratia in these cases.
The State Government's skewed outlook is very unfortunate.
Remarking that all the demands put up by the JAC constituted in connection with the Nambasi Khullen bomb blast are justified, Rajendro said the ICHAM would support the agitation the JAC has already lined up to be launched after the Class X and Class XII examinations.
It is matter of shame for Government hospitals particularly RIMS and JNIMS that many patients are being referred to private hospitals.
Late Adison's wife Sophia lamented that the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister were least concerned about the Nambasi Khullen bomb blast even though both the leaders were quite perturbed when a bomb exploded at Khwairamband Keithel on February 18 .
Saying that Adison was the sole bread winner for the family, Sophia appealed for a suitable Government job.
JAC convenor J Mayarmi said that all kinds of agitation including bandh and blockade would be imposed after the Class X and Class XII examinations are over in case the JAC's demands are not fulfilled within the intervening period.
He asked the Government to pay compensation to the deceased victim as well as the injured victim.
