Imphal, October 03:
Accusing Manager of Chingmeirong Oil Depot Amar Jyoti Bordoloi of various irregularities and corrupt practices, the Zeliangrong Union has appealed to the Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation (AOD) to institute an enquiry into the alleged shady dealings of the depot manager.
The ZU asserted that the manager did not entertain even a single letter of complain leave apart allowing entry of any individual into the depot.
The manager reportedly charged Rs 20,000 per oil tanker carrying adulterated petrol which he supplied to retail outlets.
As such, he is the main culprit behind supplying adulterated petrol to the people of Manipur.
Moreover, he deliberately schemed to make lapse kerosene quotas meant for the people of Manipur many times in the past even as there was sufficient stock of kerosene in the depot.
Notwithstanding the office memorandum issued by the FCS Department on August 20 which clearly stated that allocation of kerosene quota for the month of August was valid upto September 30, the depot manager craftily made to lapse 3,93,000 litres of SK oil in August this year itself, alleged the ZU.
For the same kerosene quota of August, Amar Jyoti insisted that another order should be issued by the FCS Department to avail the lapsed quota.
Again, he made a mockery of the order issued by the FCS Department on September 24 by refusing lifting of the lapsed kerosene quota of August.
The depot manager has been harassing the dealers by insisting to produce utilization certificates, mobile sale permits and permits for the whole month in advance.
The utilization certificate or any other document required ought to be submitted to Commissioner FCS, Govt of Manipur, not to the depot manager, maintained the ZU.
Asserting that there are lots of complaints about the alleged corrupt practices of the depot manager, the ZU demanded immediate suspension of the depot manager and to institute an enquiry against him.
It further cautioned that failure to take up prompt action will lead to mass agitation against the IOC Ltd (AOD) with detail representations to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the Chairman of the IOC Ltd.
