The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) has selected Babita Rajkumari of Moirangkhom Makha Loklaobung to pursue studies in Master of Public Health and DIC at Imperial College, London.
The 27 year daughter of RK Sanahal and Binasakhi left New delhi on September 23 for the one year course.
Prior to the recommendation for the London stint, Babita is informed to have been working as Program Specialist in HIV/AIDS in the PHFI, New Delhi since January this year.
The PHFI nominee completed her Masters' degree in Anthropology from Pune University in 2002 and had a brief stint at RIMS, Imphal as Project Assistant after which she joined as an investigator for three months for a project 'HIV management practices in the private sector' in the Maharashtra Association of Anthropological Sciences, Centre for Health Research and Development.
Babita's other association in her chosen field include working as Senior Investigator at the National AIDS Research Institute (Nari), Pune.
