Extension block inaugurated

A newly constructed extension block of RIMS Dental College was inaugurated today by RIMS Director Prof Ch Arunkumar.
Speaking at the occasion, Prof Arunkumar said that adequate staff have been recruited and necessary equipment/infrastructure have been installed apart from installing 70 dental chairs in the newly inaugurated extension block.
A team of the Dental Council of India (DCI) would be coming to Imphal within 10 days to carry out a field survey of RIMS Dental College.
He exuded confidence that DCI would grant recognition to the dental college after the survey.
RIMS Dental College has nine departments (eight clinical and one non-clinical) in total.
The college can certainly evolve into one of the best places for diagnosis and treatment of dental problems including root canal treatment and insertion of crowns.
RIMS Dental College now has the capacity to diagnose/treat 350 patients in a day.
The extension block was constructed at the cost of Rs 350 crore by RIMS engineering cell, added the Director.
RIMS Dental College Principal Dr Praveen Reddy was also present at the inaugural function.
