BJP candidate Kongkham Robindro who has been elected from Mayang Imphal AC after defeating his nearest rival Congress candidate said that he had already predicted his victory with a margin of over 2000 votes.
He said that he would start repairing dilapidated roads of Mayang Imphal AC within the next four/ five months apart from taking up necessary measures to ensure regular supply of potable water to all the people.
Noting that Mayang Imphal is backward in different aspects, Robindro said that he would see what he can do for speedy development of the Assembly segment in consultation with the people.
Ex-Minister AK Mirabai who has been reelected from Patsoi AC on a Congress ticket said that her priority would be renovation of the drainage systems of Patsoi as the raining season would set in shortly.
The second area of priority is ensuring accessibility to potable water to 60 per cent of the total populace of Patsoi AC.
Mirabai claimed that 40 per cent of the total populace already have access to potable water.
Yumnam Khemchand, elected from Singjamei AC on BJP ticket conveyed his gratitude to the party leaders for allotting the party ticket to him.
"As an MLA I would work to ensure that the titular king of Manipur is given proper place of respect.
I would also try my best to apply Prime Minister Narendra Modi's model of recruiting third grade employees without viva voce" .
Sorokhaibam Rajen, elected from Lamsang AC on BJP ticket, conveyed gratitude to the people of his constituency for electing him.
The election demonstrated that muscle power and money power could not win people's hearts.
"As promised in the run up to the election, I would make all efforts to ensure that the people of Lamdeng have access to potable water", Rajen said.
"Construction of a road from Koirengei to Sekmai is the second priority.
I would also work to construct Lamsang-Khurkhul road and Patsoi Lamkhai-Sangaithel road", he added.
Dr Sapam, elected on BJP ticket from Konthoujam after defeating the sitting Congress MLA listed improvement of education sector, transport infrastructure and socio-eco-nomic development of farmers as his priority areas.
He also pledged to protect the integrity of Manipur at all costs.
Langpoklakpam Jayantakumar, elected from Keishamthong AC on NPP ticket, remarked that the just concluded election was a war for justice for Keishamthong AC and the people ensured that justice prevails.
He said that he did not expect to win the election with such a huge margin.
Soibam Subashchandra, elected from Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC on BJP ticket said that he would take proactive roles in order to bring some substantial changes in Manipur including Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC.
He further confided that he was expecting a BJP Government in the State.
