Governor leads in conveying best wishes for Kut festival

Governor Najma Heptulla has extended heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur particularly the Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethen on the auspicious occasion of Kut.
The Governor, in the statement, said that Kut is celebrated as a thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest and is one of the most important festivals not only of Kuki-Chin-Mizo groups but of the entire State as well.
Therefore, the festival will certainly spread the message of peace, love, communal harmony, frienship and brotherhood among the different communities in the North East especially in Manipur.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has also conveyed Kut greetings to the people of the State especially to Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethen.
"Kut, the biggest festival of Kuki-Chin-Mizo groups, is a post harvest festival.
The spirit of Kut festival is all about sharing, understanding, harmony, co-existence and co-operation.
I hope and pray that the festival will spread the message of love, peace and brotherhood among all the communities living in the State," Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said.
