21st Winners' Cup KFC advance, MA register away win

KDC, Chandel blanked hosts KFC, Senapati 2-0 today in the ongoing Thangjam Birachandra-Maipakpi Memorial 21st Winners' Cup at KFC's home ground Tumuyon Khullen HS ground, Senapati.
Despite the 2-1 lost, KFC advanced to the next round.
KFC surpassed KDC on goal aggregate as KFC registered a 2-0 win over KDC in the last match at the latter's home ground.
Both sides got off with an impressive start.
It was Ng Minthang who handed the lead to KDC, Chandel as he slammed home the opener in the 41st minute.

Sallenthang Chothe doubled the lead for KDC as he found the net of their opponents in the 48th minute.
After taking the 2-0 lead, KDC were hopeful that they had already tamed their opponents.
However, L Maraiba Ningmei pulled one back for the host team in the 77th minute.
The 77th minute goal of KFC eventually made the overall goal difference and propelled KFC to the next round.
In another match played today at Artificial turf, Khuman Lampak, the home ground of Zeliangrong FC, the hosts went down 6-3 fighting Muvanlai Athletics, Sadar Hills.
Right from the first whistle, the visitors, Sadar Hills outfits had the upper hand and dominated possession.
Although the first half ended in a 1-1 tie, the second session saw Muvanlai Athletics raining goals as ZFC played defensive.
Muvanlai Athletic took an early lead through S Chongthu's 3rd minute goal.
However, ZFC levelled the goal in the 23rd minute as Paogidendai Kamei easily converted a penalty.
In the second half, David Mangboi Lhungdim scored twice in quick succession (57th and 59th) while Chongthu scored his second in the 69th minute.
Paogidendai Kamei was at it again in the 60th minute while Pangampou found their opponents' net in the 65th minute.
Later, Lalsiemthang Fimate and Jonathan Ginthianlal of Muvanlai Athletic took charge to score a goal each in the 75th and second half additional time to complete the rout.
