People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) and its armed wing Red Army have mourned the death of KYKL leader Achou Toijamba on September 27 and shared the grief of the bereaved family members.
In a statement, secretary in-charge, department of publicity and propaganda Aheiba Angom hailed Achou Toijamba as a true die-hard revolutionary and said that there cannot be enough words to describe the priceless contributions made by him to the Kanglei society.
Born on February 9, 1942, Toijamba grew up in close association with every public movement and instilled a sense of patriotism among the students and encouraged them to take part in such public movements, Aheiba Angom said, while recalling that Toijamba also toured every length and breadth of the State to promote peace and unity among various ethnic groups apart from preservation of respective ethnic identities.
As a revolutionary leader, Toijamba dedicated his life to the struggle for regaining the lost sovereignty of Kangleipak, inculcate the true essence of revolution among the cadres and played a major role in bringing about unity among the various revolutionary groups.
So, the death of such a leader is a great loss to the Kanglei society, Aheiba Angom said.
He also prayed for peaceful repose of the departed soul in its heavenly abode.
