Lamka, March 11 2014 :
State Trinamool Congress president and the party's candidate for Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, Kim Gangte today said, if the Congress party has offered money to anyone they should take it without hesitation but should reserve their vote for her.
The ex-MP was speaking to a handful of local reporters when she made the political jibe on her rival.
She said the Congress party has been accumulating a huge amount of public money to grease the palms of voters during the elections through their MDCs, MLAs and MPs without spending them for its intended purposes.
Therefore she said one should not only wilfully take the money if offered but should also seek interests as well.
She claimed that she had quit her job as a lecturer to serve the people but her 11 months tenure as an MP did not give her much opportunity and that is why she still seeks for re-election, ten years after her tenure ended abruptly.
Working towards repealing of AFSPA, uplifting of women and ensuring a better communication for the interior areas of the State are some of the priorities she will be working on, if elected, she said.
Kim Gangte is a former Lok Sabha MP winning the election in 1996 .
