Imphal, February 09 2016:
Manipur Students' Federation (MSF) conducted a moral education awareness programme at Imphal College under its academic campaign 'Eikhoi lairik ningthina tamsi' today.
Attending as the chief guest, Centre for Myanmar Studies, Manipur University Director Professor W Nabakumar said moral lessons should be properly inculcated among students in schools and colleges.
Everyone is talking about 'quality education' implying the need to provide better education to the children.
Organising academic programmes or assisting children to score high marks in exams does not satisfy the definition of quality education.
Children should be provided moral education, should be taught to respect and understand their culture and should be disciplined, he observed.
