Meghen was arrested by NIA on November 30, 2010, from Motihari in Bihar near the Indo-Nepal border.
His arrest had become a huge controversy in Manipur when the media first broke the news about his arrest in Dhaka on September 29, 2010, by Bangladesh intelligence agencies.
The 66-year-old rebel leader is a scion of the Manipuri royal family and is now lodged at the Guwahati Central Jail.
