PREPAK (Pro) refutes police version

The banned outfit PREPAK (Pro) has vehemently denied any connection with the two men who were arrested by Thoubal police commandos after which a boy was rescued.
According to a press statement issued by Thoubal SP AK Jhaljit yesterday, two PREPAK (Pro) cadres��Shamurailatpam Jail Sharma (27) s/o Gopendro of Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak and Nongthongbam Sandip (37) s/o late Narendra of Kakching Phoushupat Leikai were arrested.
It said that the duo was taking Khundrakpam Sanjoy alias Thoiba (16) s/o Kh Muhindro of Khangabok Part III for recruitment in a UG group.
Reacting to the SP's statement, a press release issued by the outfit's senior publicity officer Boby Mangang clarified that there is no such thing as recruitment cell in the outfit's organisational structure.
There is no question of forcing under-aged children the outfit.
Moreover all recruitment process has been put to a halt at present.
Even as some under-aged children came to join the party voluntarily, they were persuaded to go back, it added.
