Imphal, May 25 2012:
Implementation of Private-Public Partnership model in some private schools of the State is on the anvil, Education Minister M Oken said today.
He was speaking at the annual foundation day cum felicitation programme of The Fancier Abhiram Hr SS, Thoubal held at LS Cinema Hall.
The Education Minister said the State Government does not draw a dividing line between Government Schools and Private schools, but it is the intention of the Government to produce better students.
Oken said the PPP model has been implemented in some schools and the same may be extended to other schools if it pays dividend.

He said apart from setting up education policy, the Government has also plans to encourage private schools which produce good students with incentives adding that there is also a proposition to boost educational tourism in the State.
The function was also attended by Khangabok MLA, O Landhoni; Wangkhem AC MLA K Meghachandra and Project Director of MOBEDS Md Salauddin Khan as the president and guests of honour respectively.
