Imphal, May 25 2012:
Flatly rejecting the claim that Col Lily Leima and Captain Memma were apprehended by BSF from Indo-Bangladesh border near pillar no 1272/2 (S), the proscribed RPF has asserted that they have never seen the two women who were shown as Lily Leima and Memma.
Taking a dig at the BSF commander who had the audacity to claim the two aged women as Col Lily Leima and Captain Memma, the outfit remarked that the BSF Commander needs psychiatric treatment.
Saying that the two women were petty traders struggling for their livelihood, the outfit passed a sarcastic suggestion that the BSF troops who apprehended the two innocent and aged women should be given gallantry awards for their surprising ability to give the ranks of Colonel and Captain to the two women .
A press release issued by the outfit's Department of Publicity Chief Taohangsu Heiremcha further clarified there are no two Lily Leima's in RPF and the lone Lily Leima is concentrating on her works.
The two women who were arrested near pillar no 1272/2 (S) have nothing to do with RPF/PLA .
It was sheer cowardice on the part of BSF to make the two aged women suffer on the false charge of being revolutionaries, it added.
