KSO pleads for safe release of Jagat

Kuki Students' Organization (KSO), Sadar Hills on Friday pleaded for safe release of Jagat Singh, s/o Lala Singh of Wangjing Leikai along with his hijacked vehicle.
It may be mentioned that Jagat Singh, who was engaged in mending potholes along the NH-2 under contractors Khaisat Kipgen and Hekai Chongloi, has been kidnapped by unknown armed miscreants while loading stone chips on January 14 near Taphou Kuki village at around 8:30 am in the morning.
Thangminlen Kipgen, President of KSO Sadar Hills appealed to the unknown armed abductors to unconditionally release Jagat Singh along with his Mahindra Pickup Jeep while cautioning that it will cause unsolicited problems at this time of hard earned peaceful environment if intense agitation is taken up.
The student body president also appealed to every organization/individual to refrain from executing uncalled-for crimes along the highway in future so as to strengthen the peaceful coexistence.
In the meantime, a reliable source reported that the abducted three people of a Tata truck plying along the NH-2 on January 11 were released after two days after the family members of the trio and vehicle owner paid Rs.2 lakh to the unknown abductors.
