Kalinamei villagers felicitate Dr Lokho Puni

In recognition to the remarkable contributions and exemplary years of service, the villagers of Kalinamei villagers today felicitated Dr Lokho Puni, IFS (Retd), former PCCF/Climate Change & FCA, Manipur at Kalinamei Community hall.
It may be mentioned that Dr Lokho Puni was recently appointed as a Member of the MPSC.
Born on January 26, 1963, Dr Lokho Puni was conferred Indian Forest Service of 1989 batch from Manipur-Tripura cadre.
He had earlier served as PCCF/CC & FCA, Member Secretary/MBB, State Mission Director (National Bamboo Mission) in the Forest department, Government of Manipur; APCCF/Biodiversity and NTFP, APCCF/Working Plan/Res & Training; Member Secretary/Manipur Biodiversity Board; CCF/Development, CCF/OSD, Forest Research & Training in the State Forest Department.
Speaking on the occasion, SD Daiho Mao, president, Mao Council expressed his joy and stated that the Mao Council was also planning to organise similar programmes but was delayed due to the pandemic.
A Onia, president Mao Naga Women's Welfare Association in her message thanked God and added that Dr Puni is a blessing for the community.
She also expressed her gratitude to the wife of Dr Puni for supporting him through all his ups and downs.
Marikho O'Leriina, president Mao Students Union said, "Great thinkers don't set out to be leaders, they set out to make a difference; they are not bom but they, are made".
Marikho also called the life of Dr Puni as an inspiration and challenge to the student community.
The life of Dr Puni is a testimony of hard work, perseverance and dedication.
While recalling his past experiences, Dr Lokho Puni expressed his gratitude for all the blessings in his life and assured to assist the villagers in all possible ways.
Lohrii Thomas, Catechist, Christ the King Catholic Church, Mao Gate blessed the newly elected member of MPSC.
CSO leaders of the Mao community and village leaders also attended the programme.
