AR dedicates road to Rani Gaidinliu

Imphal, July 10 2021:
44 Assam Rifles under 22 Sector/IGAR (East) planted around 5000 Hibiscus and Bougainvillea saplings along the Khongsang - Tamenglong road on Saturday in relation to Van Mahotsav festival.
According to PIB (Defence) Imphal, the seven km stretch has been rechristened as Rani Gaidinliu Vatika in honour of the great freedom fighter hailing from Nungkao village in Tamenglong who dedicated her complete life for social uplift of its people.
In the series of plantation drives being organised by the Battalion, AR troops and Akhui villagers planted saplings of Hibiscus and Bougainvillea along the highway which is under construction.
