CCPur reports 57 new COVID-19 positive cases; 1 death

Churachandpur, May 16 2021:
Churachandpur district reported 57 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of active cases in the district to 336 .
A total of 11 persons (6 male and 5 female) have recovered.
The latest victims, one female aged 63 succumbed to COVID-19 at District Hospital Churachandpur taking the cumulative death in the district to 61 .
Out of the 57 persons confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases, 35 were male and 22 were female.
Besides, among the 158 persons tested in the Rapid Antigen Test at District Hospital and other testing sites, 22 persons were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases while out of the 187 samples, 35 persons including 12 military personnel, tested positive for COVID-19 through RT PCR test.
Meanwhile, as a measure to combat the second wave of COVID-19 in the district, the District Health Authority conducted random COVID-19 tests on curfew violators at selected localities yesterday.
During the random test, two persons were found COVID-19 positive and they were kept in Home Isolation.
The total number of positive cases in the district as of May 16 is 2792 which includes 1840 male and 952 female, while 2395 have recovered.
As per the information provided by the Churachandpur District Hospital authorities, all 20 beds at the dedicated COVID-19 centre, District Hospital, Churachandpur, are engaged/occupied as of today.
Besides, 54 D Type Cylinders are available as of date at the District Hospital, out of which 30 cylinders are in stock while 18 cylinders are currently in use.
The District Hospital also has 36 B Type Oxygen cylinders, out of which 16 cylinders are currently in use.
The remaining cylinders have been sent for refilling.
