Red carpet ready for Gaidon, Stephen

Elaborate arrangements have been made to "welcome home" United Naga Council (UNC) president Gaidon Kamei and information secretary SK Stephen in Senapati headquarters.
The "welcome home" programme will start from 1 pm of Monday, March 20, where a large number of people is expected to participate.
UNC leaders said their president Gaidon Kamei and information secretary SK Stephen will address the public.
Besides the UNC leaders, tribe presidents will also speak on the occasion.
The UNC leaders who are in jail are expected to be released by 12 noon on Monday.
Meanwhile, the UNC has expressed gratitude to the public of Manipur for "understanding and tolerating in this moment of hardship" owing to the economic blockade.
The UNC also expressed its gratitude to all the frontal organisations and "tribe hohos" for extending full support to the UNC headed agitation.
The UNC expressed hope that with the coming of a "new Government in Manipur and a new leadership and new initiatives" will take things for a better.
The UNC also expressed hope that the Government will be practical of what "it has assured" the Naga people.
