Imphal, August 30:
Asking the State Government to stick to its assurance of making public the probe report on the Old Lambulane shooting incident in which three Kuki students were gunned down, the Kuki Students Organisation has threatened to resume its agitation in case the Government fails to honour its assurance.
Recalling circumstances leading to the student organisation suspending the agitation following and agreement that Government will furnish the inquiry findings within August 10, the KSO vice president Richard Haokip informed of the State authorities extending the deadline to October 10.Stating that the deadline extension was arrived during a meeting KSO representatives had with the Government some days back, Richard warned of strong reaction if the new commitment is not honoured by the government.
If the assurance turns out to be void well be constrained to re-launch the agitation on an even larger scale and intensity, the student leader told The Sangai Express today.
Ridiculing the rationale of keeping the inquiry report under wraps, he said KSO demands only concerns that justice be done according to outcome of the findings.
