Mourning of the 17 victims of the anti-NSCN (IM) ceasefire agreement continues in the State with hundreds of residents paying floral tributes and lighting candles in different parts of the valley.
A mass public mourning was organized at the villages located within Sawombung gate to Yaingangpokpi today.
Members of more than 40 clubs and organizations participated in the function organized under the aegis of UCM.
The congregation hailed the decision of the Centre to restrict the boundary of NSCN (IM) ceasefire to Nagaland only and appealed for a final declaration on the issue.
Hundreds of persons paid floral tributes and lit candlelight in honour of 17 persons in a ceremony organized at Uripok Lamboi Khongnangmakhong today.
Tributes and honour will be paid to the 17 martyrs till July 31. Several people paid floral tributes to the photographs of the 17 persons during a ceremony at Singjamei Wangma Kshetri Leikai at around 7 this evening.
Candlelight was also offered to the martyrs.
Similar ceremony were also organized Khumbong Bazar.
The congregation resolved to press the Centre to grant autonomy to the whole of Manipur instead of giving it only to the hill districts.
Floral tributes were also paid at the portrait of the 17 demised persons at Hiyangthang Bazar today.
The demised persons were also remembered by the Sekmaijin to Tokpaching Union of Development Agency.
