The Thadou Students' Association appreciates and congratulates Miss Kimneingah Kipgen and all other successful candidates on their selection as MJS - III by the High Court of Manipur vide No.HCM/A-1/2013-A&E(J)/Vol-I/73188 dated the 13th November, 2017 .
We wish them all the best in their career as a judicial magistrate.
We also congratulate all the successful candidates from Thadou community namely, Dominic Thangminlen Haokip, Chinneihoi Haokip, Tinkholhing Guite, Thenkhogin Haokip, Mongneilam, Lhingchingthieng Haokip, Paoginthang Lhouvum, Khaiminthang Touthang, Lh Seitinthang, Khupminthang Khongsai, Nengneivah Eva Haokip, Dimneikim Singson, Hatneilam Touthang, Henkhosat Kipgen, T.Chongboi Haokip, Nengneithem Kipgen, Ngamtinlun Touthang, Letkhohao Haokip, Jangdeilhing Misao and all other on their recent selection as Assistant Professors, in Government Colleges under Higher Education Department, Manipur, selection for which was conducted by the Manipur Public Service Commission.
Meanwhile, we would like to highlight that as per notification of the competent authority, any citizen of India with a law degree from any recognized or lawfully established university or institution in India irrespective of their cultural or ethnic background is eligible for the state judicial service.
Although it is desired by the authority that the applicants know Manipuri or a local language of Manipur, it is not stated to be mandatory.
It may also be noted that any departments under Manipur Government does not have any orders/judgements/memorandum/etc.
issued/written in Manipuri language.
All orders, proceedings, memorandum, letters are issued only in English.
Although knowledge of a local language can be helpful for general communication, a judge is not going to prepare a make-up story but make the judgement in English based on facts and evidence.
In light of this, we request all concerned not to have any apprehensions or misgivings in the selection process of the judicial magistrates.
