HC issues notice

The Manipur High Court has issued notice to the DGP, ADGP, Special DGP, SP (Bishnupur), OC, Nambol PS and Additional Chief Secretary (Home) in connection with a petition filed by one Th Deepak Singh.
The notice is returnable within four weeks.
The petition is filed against the inaction of OC, Nambol PS to a complaint lodged to him in connection with an incident which damaged the petitioner's Hyundai Verna due to rash and negligent driving of police Gypsy having no registration under the command of Special DGP and ADGP on In fact, no vehicle can be driven without registration as per Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.But the top officials, by taking laws in their hand and by violating the laws, used a Gypsy without any registration mark on it.
The petitioner's counsel submitted before the Court that the OC, Nambol PS is not concerned about the incident that took place within his jurisdiction.
Since Sept 2017, 12 accident cases were registered suo moto but the said incident which involved high ranking police officers remains neglected by the OC, Nambol PS and SP, Bishnupur.
Meanwhile, speaking to media persons at his chamber, the petitioner's counsel said that the matter was also taken to the Prime Minister Office (PMO) by the petitioner on Nov 18.The matter was forwarded from the PMO to the Govt of Manipur through Dr Rajesh Kumar, Commissioner AR&IT on Nov 21, 2017 on the complaint filed by the petitioner.
