Committee submits report

The three-member committee constituted by the High Court of Manipur to enquire into alleged irregularities in RIMS submitted a report to the High Court today.
The committee comprising of High Court Registrar (administration) N Rojit, Health Services retired Additional Director Dr M Kunjabihari and Advocate Kh Tarunkumar was constituted after a PIL was taken up by the High Court following allegations of
a post graduate student alleging gross irregularities in RIMS.
The committee conducted spot enquiry at RIMS on November 14 and 15 during which they visited RIMS administrative block, different wards and departments.
They also inspected MRI, CT Scan, SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit), X-Ray and Radiotherapy rooms, and recorded conditions of the machinery/facilities.
A Division Bench comprising of Acting Chief Justice N Kotiswar and Justice Kh Nobin heard the PIL today and directed the committee to furnish copies of the enquiry report to counsels representing the respondents so that they submit their views on.
