ADC Sadar Hills allots two ambulances to combat COVID-19 in Kpi

Asa part of its initiative to combat the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic in Kangpokpi district, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi yesterday allotted two ambulances to the medical department.
ADC Sadar Hills caretaker Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing handed over the two ambulances provided by the State Government to Chief Medical Officers of Kangpokpi yesterday in the presence of James Doujapao Haokip, MCS, CEO Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi, former ADC Sadar Hills members, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi, Dr Paotinlal Haokip and other officials of ADC Sadar Hills and medical department.
Speaking on the occasion, Haokholal Hangshing said that the ambulances were procured by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Hills Department under the 15th Finance Commission of the ADCs and distributed to the ADCs.
He said that the two ambulances allotted to the Medical department were Force Traveller class with built-in Basic Life Support (BLS) and auto stretcher foldable legs while adding that another Advance Life Saving (ALS) ambulance would be arriving shortly.
Haokholal Hangshing mentioned that an Oxygen plant with 100 refilling capacity per day was under construction and would be completed very shortly.
He urged all the concerned authorities to work dedicatedly for the welfare of the people of Kangpokpi in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the memorandum signed by James Doujapao Haokip, MCS, CEO SHADC Kangpokpi and Dr Ph Henkhoneng Mate, i/c Chief Medical Officer Kangpokpi highlighted that the SHADC Kangpokpi temporarily allotted two new Force Ambulances to CMO Kangpokpi with the acknowledgment of District administration Kangpokpi to be utilized in COVID-19 related duties.
The CMO shall ensure that the two ambulances are utilized only for the COVID-19 pandemic-related matter for Kangpokpi district.
Among others, it was also stated that one ambulance shall be placed in the custody of the Medical Officer, Motbung in view of its strategic location and for certain inconveniences but it shall be under the disposal/control of CMO while SHADC Kangpokpi reserves the right to recall the ambulances at any time as per the administrative requirement of ADC Sadar Hills Kangpokpi.
