44 AR organises mobile vaccination drive

Kangpokpi, June 22 2021:
In continuation of its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and to bring Covid vaccine within the reach of people of Kangpokpi district, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 22 Sector Assam Rifles /HQ IGAR (East) in collaboration with State Health Department of Kangpokpi District, Manipur carried out another successful mobile COVID-19 vaccination, sanitization, Vivid appropriate behaviour awareness Drive in Panikheti village in Kangpokpi District of Manipur today.
The medical team of 44 Assam Rifles along with village Covid Task Force volunteers carried out sanitization of all prominent places like school, community hall, religious place and public place of the village by spraying disinfectant around these places, said a statement of PIB Defence Wing.
Banners and posters on COVID-19 were also displayed in the campaign to spread awareness on the pandemic, it added.
The medical team along with the PHC T Waichong also facilitated on the spot registration for the first dose of vaccine and administered vaccines to 200 beneficiaries of 18 years and above age category.
