AMMOCOC writes to DGP

The All Manipur Muslim Organisations' Co-Ordinating Committee (AMMOCOC) has drawn the attention of the DGP of Manipur police after four occupants of a truck of whom three are from Manipur reportedly went missing.
In a letter addressed to the DGP, AMMOCOC stated that they came to learn that one Tata truck carrying waste paper bundles from Manipur to Guwahati was hijacked at Dimapur Nitchu Gate in Nagaland at gun point by some miscreants and four occupants abducted including the truck driver in between 9.30 pm and 10.30 pm on June 19 .
The occupants, (driver) Moirangthem Surchandra Singh @ Bungte (46) from Wangoi; Haobam Naocha Singh (handyman) (20) from Wangoi; Jahangir Alom (helper) (20) of Balipuri Gaon, Assam and Yunush Khan (helper) (32) of Yairipok Changamdabi Mathak are suspected to be concealed at an unknown location, stated AMMOCOC in its letter.
A complaint report was filed at Daphuri PS of Dimapur yesterday but no progress has been made so far, it said while urging DGP to take action and arrange to communicate with Nagaland Police to rescue the victims and the said truck.
