Poireihanba appointed RPI-A state VP

Imphal, December 26 2021:
Mongjam Poireihanba, who is the intending candidate in Lamlai assembly constituency for the upcoming assembly election, has been appointed as vice-president of Republican Party of India - Athawale (RPI-A) state unit.
The appointment letter was presented to him by the party's state president Thounaojam Maheshwar in a function held at the party's Keishampat Aheibam Leirak office here on Sunday.
Accepting the offer, Poireihanba said that he will put his best efforts to ensure major victory of the party in the 2022 State assembly election.
On the other hand, RPI-A Women's Wing felicitated Maheshwar on his appointment as national secretary of the party, in a function held at MEIPA campus.
At the event, Maheshwar said that the party is gaining popularity in the state and it is the reason behind giving him the responsibility of the party's national secretary.
He also said that the party's national president will visit Imphal in the first week of January to participate in poll campaigns.
