Mass testing and vaccination camps held

Imphal, June 18 2021:
A mass vaccination cum testing camp was held yesterday at Keibi Kumuda Community Hall.
78 samples were tested while 71 individuals were vaccinated for COVID-19 at the camp which was organised by Taretkhul 2nd Wave COVID-19 Task Force (Khundrakpam AC).
The task force said the low turn out today for testing or vaccination was because of number of rumours and fake news that are doing round on social media and appealed the Government to take up necessary steps to fight such baseless information that are being circulated on social medias.
The task force also expressed gratitude to everyone who extended cooperation to make the camp a success including MLA Th Lokeshwar, CMO Imphal East and others.
In another instance, a similar programme was also held at Social Upliftments Club, Ningtem Pukhri Mapal.
The mass testing and vaccination camp was organised under the supervision of Minister Th Satybrata and Thongam Govind, member, Ward Number 9, Yaiskul AC.
83 samples were tested out of which 1 had returned positive and 69 individuals were vaccinated for COVID-19 at the camp today.
Mass Vaccination at Kontha Khabam
Students' Union Club (SUC) organised a mass COVID-19 vaccination camp at Ibemcha High School in Kontha Khabam 2/20 today in collaboration with CMO Imphal East yesterday.
A total of 155 individuals were vaccinated for COVID-19 at the vaccination camp.
Waiton
A mass testing and vaccination camp was also held today at Waiton organised by Waiton 2nd Wave COVID-19 Task Force under the supervision of MLA Th Lokeshwar.
160 samples were tested out of which 7 had returned positive.
The positive individuals were shifted to Covid Care Centre at NB College, Khundrakpam.
