Imphal, July 21 2021:
Continuing its philanthropic activities, film producer and social and cultural activist, Rakesh Naorem distributed 5 kgs of rice each and edible items to selected households worse hit by COVID-19 in Tentha AC.
The items were distributed to around 27 underprivileged households today in association with COVID-19 Task force Tentha.
Speaking on the sidelines, Rakesh Naorem said that he started the initiative to provide some relief to households impacted by the ongoing pandemic and will continue to extend help in future as well.
He also stressed on the need of helping one another amid this difficult time.
Convenor of COVID-19 Task Force Tentha, Moirangthem Boicha said that many residents of Tentha AC have succumbed to COVID-19 and there are many active cases at present.
He appealed all to strictly follow the Covid SOPs and guidelines to contain the further spread of the pandemic.
NUCO
The Northern United Club Organisation (NUCO) in association with All Manipur United Clubs Organisation (AMUCO) distributed drinking water bottles to Community.
Home Isolation Centres (CHICs) opened at Khonghampat High School and Kanto Khullen Junior High School today, said a press release by NUCO.
It may be noted that NUCO in association with AMUCO have distributed edible items to around 216 underprivileged households within the jurisdiction of NUCO earlier.
NUCO affirmed that it will continue to help the people to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic effectively and appealed to all strictly follow Covid SOPs and guidelines.
