More leave Cong, back MLA Radheshyam

Several supporters of.the Congress party continue to leave the party to extend support to incumbent BJP MLA Thokchom Radheshyam in Heirok assembly constituency.
A total of 83 Congress supporters including 18 from Heirok Mayai Leikai and 65 from Salungpham left the party on Monday after 71 Congress loyalists did the same ort Friday last.
As per disclosure by some Congress supporters who exited the party, development works executed by Thokchom Radheshyam within a short duration is one main reason for extending support to the incumbent MLA.
Felicitation function for the new entrants to BJP was held on Monday at Heirok and Salungpham wherein new supporters of BJP were welcomed with presentation of party's cap and stole.
Speaking at the felicitation events, MLA Radheshyam explained in detail welfare activities being taken up by BJP government for the people of the country.
BJP is the largest political organisation in the world and the party believes in collective survival and all round development and hence more and more people are joining the party, he opined and appealed to people of Heirok to collective make it a progressive constituency by chalking out a pre-plan for development works to be taken up in the next five years.
Both the felicitation events were attended by Heirok Part (III) pradhan N Tangba, Kangyambem GP pradhan Ph Leibakchao, BJP Heirok Mandal vice president Mongam Maring, Heirok AC social welfare nominee M Tomba and others.
