Academy nurturing artistic talents of CCpur youth

The WeDance Academy based at Churachandpur has been providing training to youngsters who have keen interest in performing arts since 2018.Other objectives 6f the Academy are nurturing youth's inborn talent and providing a platform to show their potentialities and qualify for vying at the national and international levels, to promote media and culture.
Currently, the Academy has 1450 plus students, according to Academy CEO George AK Lal.
During an interaction with George, it is learnt that there are many youths in the district desirous of excelling in the held of dance and performing arts., They are practicing on their own and it is necessary to give them proper guidance through institutional support, he said.
George informed that when he set up the Academy on Feb -ruary 3 in 2018, parents had mistaken perception about dance but after sometimes they realised that dancing bolsters physical and mental health as it involves a lot of exercises.
By second week of December 2021, the Academy is planning to organise the WeDance Academy Grand Showcase to instil competitiveness among the students.
It will feature dance, cosplay and fashion designing, in addition to other types of dances, the CEO further informed, while appealing to all to take part in the show.
George also said that the students of the Academy have so far performed at important events in the district as well as at the state level events.
