Chandel, November 09 2016:
The Administration of ADC, Chandel has appealed to all the concerned to refrain from making wild allegations that could tarnish the image of the District Council Administration under the Chairmanship of Lhukhosei Zou.
Replying to allegations hurled by ANTA and NPF leader KSM Mathew Maring, the Administration of ADC, Chandel, in a statement issued by its spokesperson here today, clarified that the ADC was compelled to shift the construction of Barrack Type Teachers Quarters from Hnatham, Tonsen, Tokpaching and Nungpan Primary Schools under ADC, Chandel, to other sites due to the ban imposed by certain UG group operating in Chandel area.
The concerned Circle ADC Members were entrusted to solve the issue who, after several rounds of consultation, admitted that the works could not be implemented in the above said areas.
To avoid lapse of fund, an understanding was reached between ADC Members who were entrusted with the matter to give Attorney power to the sub-contractors of the respective work.
However, they too failed to go forward with the project, despite pressures exerted upon them by the Administration, due to the same reason.
The Administration was compelled to shift the work sites owing to the ban and there was no question of 'anti-Anal movement campaign' nor was there an intention to implement the works in Kuki dominated areas as alleged by the ANTA and KSM Mathew Maring.
All development works under the ADC, Chandel, have been implemented equally and without any bias, the statement asserted.
The blind allegations hurled upon the Administration of ADC, Chandel, clearly shows that these people are more interested in creating a communal and chaotic environment than development.
The Administration, in the statement, assured that things will be done in the best interest of the public.
